What is MITAKARA
“Mikusano Mitakara” or “The Three Divine Treasures” is the ancient Japanese shamanic art of cultivating joy in our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being. In ancient Japan, Mitakara is the key philosophy for various forms of natural healing therapies, martial arts, performing arts, rituals, traditional festivals typical of Japan. In modern Japanese culture, Mitakara is the foundation and original inspiration for modern Butoh and Seitai dance.
Modern Mitakara:
Modern day Mitakara is founded by Iida Shigemi who inherited this ancient practice from his shamanic grandmother and ancestors. Iida’s multi-faceted background range from being a Butoh dancer with Kazuo Ono ( the founder of Butoh), as theater director, musician, martial artist, acupuncturist and Seitai energy healer.
Mitakara uses:
- Therapy that can be used for oneself or for others.
- Eliminating negativity and live life in more joyfully
- Develop and expand our innate capabilities and talents
